The IMI-1000 from Integrated Automotive UK is a retrofit CarPlay and Android Auto Kit that adds Carplay and Android Auto functionality to a standard vehicle.

The kit gives an “OEM” feel and appearance as it retains the existing Mercedes display on your dash, as well as the Mercedes controls (rotary contoller and steering wheel controls)

2024 Update

Our IMI-1000 now supports OEM bluetooth audio transfer which negates the need for the USB-AUX adapter, this means you can stay connected to OEM bluetooth for calls and utilise OEM DAB at the same time as using CarPlay and Android Auto.

The audio quality of the IMI-1000 is truly market leading, the IMI-1000 utilises a high quality DAC and output amplifier circuit as well as 5GHz WiFi to ensure the audio fidelity is optimised.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

1. Start ignition

2. IMI-1000 automatically re-pairs with your phone (iPhone or Android phone)

3. CarPlay/Android Auto Automatically starts up on your phone

4. Mercedes COMAND switches to CarPlay/Android Auto automatically

5. You can switch between the Mercedes interface and CarPlay by pressing and holding “HANG UP” or “STAR” on the central console

Demonstration Video

Here is a brief overview of the IMI-1000 which was installed into a W205 C43. Note that now you DO NOT need to activate aux as the IMI-1000 will utilise OEM bluetooth audio and you will not need the USB-AUX adapter shown in the video.

This kit is compatible with various front parking camera, reverse parking camera and 360 degree cameras.
